In the TikTok Safer Together campaign, we set out to make the internet a safer place for users under 18. Partnering with local TikTok teams across six regions, we tapped into the creativity of inspiring content creators to help educate young audiences about the potential risks of online challenges.

Our mission? To empower young users to navigate the digital landscape confidently through engaging creator-led content. By raising awareness about the dangers of viral trends, we aimed to instill a sense of responsibility and encourage informed decision-making using the STOP THINK DECIDE ACT framework.

TT Safer Together – Case Study 1

We enlisted 28 talented creators who brought their unique flair to the campaign, crafting engaging videos centered around the STOP THINK DECIDE ACT framework. Each creator delivered relatable content that resonated with their followers, encouraging them to think critically about online challenges and make smarter choices—all while having fun!

Creators successfully sparked conversations about online safety, proving that a little creativity goes a long way in making a big impact. With this initiative, TikTok reinforced its commitment to ensuring a safer space for young users, reminding everyone that responsible digital behavior can be just as exciting as the latest trend.

In 2024, this campaign won the bCreator Health & Wellbeing Creator Campaign Award. The judges noted the campaign for its cross-geo messaging, impactful results, and authentic content integration with influencers from diverse backgrounds and in multiple languages – recognising the behemoth effort undertaken by all.
