TikTok Local Favourites

In partnership with TikTok, we launched a campaign to promote their new Places feature, allowing users to tag locations in their videos and browse geo-tagged content using the hashtag #PlacesToVisit. Our mission was to spotlight the new feature while showcasing local gems and must-see spots around the UK.

The objective was to encourage TikTok users to discover and engage with the new TikTok Places location-tagging feature. By highlighting creators’ favorite local spots, we aimed to inspire users to explore and tag their own hometown discoveries, boosting engagement with the new feature.

Case Study – TT Local

We hand-picked 31 UK creators to become TikTok Local Ambassadors, each representing their home region. These creators posted 124 videos highlighting hidden gems, must-see sights, and local recommendations. Their content emphasized the benefits of the new Places feature while sharing personal insights about their local areas, making the campaign authentic and engaging.

Having reached millions of locals, this campaign successfully introduced the new Places feature to TikTok’s UK audience. The content drove significant engagement under the #PlacesToVisit hashtag, encouraging users to explore and share their own local discoveries. Additionally, businesses featured in the creators’ posts saw a measurable uplift in social media engagement and increased in-person visits, translating the campaign’s digital reach into tangible real-world impact.
